Your Himalayan adventure begins as you arrive at Siliguri (Bagdogra/NJP) and set off on a scenic drive to Gangtok. The journey along the Teesta River is filled with winding roads and mountain views. On the way, you will stop at Chorten Monastery, a peaceful stupa surrounded by fluttering prayer flags, and the Namgyal Institute of Tibetology, which preserves rare Buddhist manuscripts and Tibetan artifacts. By evening, you reach Gangtok, where you can relax and take a leisurely walk around MG Marg.

This day takes you on a thrilling excursion to East Sikkim’s high-altitude wonders. First, visit the glacial Tsomgo Lake (12,400 ft.), a stunning body of water reflecting the surrounding snow peaks. Continue to Nathula Pass (14,000 ft.), the historic Indo-China border, where snow often carpets the land. On the return, stop at the legendary Old Baba Mandir, a temple dedicated to Baba Harbhajan Singh (extra cost payable by guests). After soaking in the mountain views, return to Gangtok for the night.

After breakfast, leave Gangtok behind and drive to the picturesque mountain village of Lachung (8,800 ft.). The road itself is a highlight with stops at Naga Falls, the multi-tiered Seven Sisters Waterfall, and the Singhik Viewpoint, where you can enjoy panoramic vistas of Mt. Wake up to the crisp mountain air and begin your journey to the breathtaking Yumthang Valley (11,800 ft.), famously called the “Valley of Flowers.” In spring, the valley blooms with rhododendrons, while in winter it is blanketed in snow. After this unforgettable experience, return to Lachung for a cozy evening.

Today you drive westwards towards Pelling. Enroute, stop at the serene Buddha Park at Ravangla, where a majestic 130 ft. Buddha statue overlooks the valleys. Continue your journey and by evening, reach Pelling, a town blessed with views of the Kanchenjunga range.

Dedicate this day to exploring the gems of West Sikkim. Begin with a visit to Khecheopalri Lake, a sacred wish-fulfilling lake believed to be untouched by leaves falling on its surface. Next, witness the thundering Kanchenjunga Waterfalls, followed by the gentle Rimbi Waterfalls. End the day with a stroll through the Orange Garden, a peaceful spot filled with citrus trees and river views. Return to Pelling for the night.

In the morning, visit the historic Pemayangtse Monastery, one of Sikkim’s oldest monasteries, followed by the Rabdentse Ruins, the ancient capital of Sikkim where stone walls whisper stories of the past. The thrilling Pelling Sky Walk with its massive Chenrezig statue offers stunning views of the valley. After completing the sightseeing, drive towards Darjeeling, crossing tea gardens and charming mountain roads along the way.

Start your day before sunrise with a trip to Tiger Hill (8,400 ft.), where the first rays of the sun light up Mt. Kanchenjunga in golden hues. On the return journey, stop at the historic Ghoom Monastery and the Batasia Loop, a marvel of railway engineering with a war memorial at its center. After breakfast, explore Darjeeling Zoo, home to rare Himalayan species like the red panda and snow leopard, and the Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, which celebrates the legacy of Tenzing Norgay. Later in the afternoon, bid farewell to the Himalayas as you drive back to Siliguri (Bagdogra/NJP) with unforgettable memories of your journey.
